We collect several information from users automatically, like IP addresses, platform and browser type, time and path followed on the website, etc. We use this information to improve the website for our users and make it easier for them to find the information they want. We can never identify anyone personally using this information.
Users may opt-out of receiving UX Lx updates by sending a message to the email through the event’s support email address with the subject "Unsubscribe". Users may opt to change the information we hold of them or ask us to eliminate it by sending an e-mail to the event’s support email address.
We run contests and give-aways for marketing purposes. Participation is voluntary. In those events, we may collect information from users that are not registered with us. The personal information collected in these circumstances is only to enable us to notify the winners and send them the prizes. Information collected for these purposes is never used outside the exclusive purposes of the contest.
We may run surveys in order to improve user satisfaction. Information collected is never personally identifiable and will only be used for the exclusive purposes of the survey.
Information collected may be stored both online and offline. Information stored in our servers is located in a secure data centre with several levels of security. We take every effort to protect the information we collect both online and in print.
Our website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off-line.
UXLx follows the Privacy by Design strategy.
We collect the data that is essential to communicate with our attendees and to give access to the event. The only personal data that we request is First and Last names, and a working email address. These data are only used for Conference-related communication, not being transmitted to any third parties besides the ones necessary for the Conference organization (such as the payment processor, emailer and invoicing system).
Subscription to our newsletter is opt-in only, being this option provided at the footer of the UXLx website, and in the Post-Conference email..
All personal data collected will be deleted 1 year after the event’s end date by default, being attendance data kept anonymised for future reference and statistics. Attendees can request for their personal data to be deleted after the Conference ending date, in 48 hours, by sending an email through the event’s support email address.
UXLx proactively looks into protecting all data stored within their databases. UXLx does not store any credit card details (as this is handled by a third party payment provider - Stripe). We plan to encrypt all Conference data in the near future.
Any questions or issues should be addressed with the UXLx’s responsible for Data Protection, Fernanda Sá, through the event’s support email address.
